Thrift Wallet operates this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services, in order to provide you, the customer, with a curated shopping experience (the "Services"). Thrift Wallet is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you visit, use, or make a purchase or other transaction using the Services or otherwise communicate with us. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to the collection, processing, and disclosure of your personal information.

India: Your Rights Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023

This section applies to the processing of personal data in India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 ("DPDP law"). Where this section and the rest of this Privacy Policy differ for customers in India, this section applies.

We only collect what we need for these purposes, and we do not sell your personal data.

Consent and withdrawing it

Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time, and it is as easy as giving it. Use the unsubscribe link in any email, reply "STOP" to our WhatsApp or SMS messages, use our Your Privacy Choices page, or email grievances@thriftwallet.in. Withdrawal does not affect processing already done, and we may still process data we need to complete an order you have already placed or to comply with law.

Your rights

• Access: a summary of the personal data we hold about you, how we process it, and the categories of people we share it with.
• Correction, completion and updating of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erasure of your data when it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, unless the law requires us to keep it.
• Grievance redressal through our contact person named above.
• Nomination: you may nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.

To use any right, email grievances@thriftwallet.in with the subject "Data Request" from the email or phone number linked to your orders. We may ask you to verify your identity. We aim to respond within 30 days, and in any case within the 90-day period allowed by law. You can also see our Data Deletion Instructions.

Who we share data with

We share personal data only as needed with our service providers (Data Processors), who process it on our instructions. They include our e-commerce platform (Shopify), payment gateways (for example Razorpay), courier and logistics partners, order-tracking, review, loyalty, affiliate and customer-chat apps, email, SMS and WhatsApp messaging tools, and analytics and advertising platforms (for example Meta and Google). We also share data when the law requires it. Some providers store or process data outside India. We only transfer data to countries that the Government of India has not restricted.

How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above. Order, invoice and payment records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting laws. Support and dispute records are kept until the matter is closed and any legal time limits have passed. Marketing data is kept until you withdraw consent or unsubscribe. As required by the DPDP Rules, logs of processing are retained for at least one year for security purposes. After this, data is deleted or anonymised.

Security and data breaches

We use reasonable security safeguards, including encryption and secure checkout provided by our platform, access limited to people who need it, password protection and regular review of the apps we use. If a personal data breach occurs, we will inform affected customers and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law. We will explain what happened, its likely impact, and the steps we are taking.

Children

Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly process personal data of anyone under 18 without verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian, and we do not track, profile or target advertising at children. If you believe a child has shared data with us, email grievances@thriftwallet.in and we will delete it.

Complaints

Please contact our contact person first at grievances@thriftwallet.in. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Language

On request, we will provide this notice in Hindi or Marathi.

Relationship with Shopify

The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve the Services for you. Information you submit to the Services will be transmitted to and shared with Shopify as well as third parties that may be located in countries other than where you reside, in order to provide and improve the Services for you. In addition, to help protect, grow, and improve our business, we use certain Shopify enhanced features that incorporate data and information obtained from your interactions with our Store, along with other merchants and with Shopify. Children's Data

The Services are not intended to be used by children, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information about children under the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
